I learned this trick from a cooking school mate who had learned it from a chef in Japan. This is a bullet-proof way to get perfect hard-boiled breakfast eggs, soft and pretty.

Preparation
Place eggs in cold water and turn the heat on.
Let the water boil for one minute, then turn the heat off and leave for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, give the eggs a good cold shower under the tap.
