My grandmum had always dill cucumber in her fridge and she served it on a Czech crystal plate with a cute little fork. I loved those cucumbers and although there are many (more modern) versions - which are for sure delicious - for me this traditional recipe is the one and only.
Ingredients
1 cucumber
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
1,5 tablespoons fresh dill
Preparation
Peel the cucumber and slice it as thinly as you can.
Mix the vinegar, water, salt, sugar and dill. Add cucumber slices.
Place in the fridge for at least half an hour before serving.
