Plum & pork stew

Pork meat likes sweetness, and plum goes particularly well; it also gives the sauce a beautiful dark color.

This is a food that cooks itself: put it in the oven and leave the house for 2-3 hours and come back to a ready meal. Cannot get easier right?



(for 4 servings)

800 g pork hock, cut in large pieces
150 g dried plums
2 carrots, chopped
1 onion, cut in half
2 dry bay leaves (laurel)
10 whole black peppers
1 teaspoon salt
3-4 dl water


Place all ingredients in a casserole and cook in 200C for half an hour, then reduce the heat to 150C.

(this is when you can leave the house)

Cook for 2-3 hours and serve with mashed potatos or rice.
